Why do people come to Hong Kong, and why do they often plan a stay of three weeks and then stay for 20 years?
David Nunan has interviewed 74 residents to try to get an idea of what they have gained from Hong Kong, and how it has changed them.
These were 38 men and 36 women, ranging in age from 15 to 80. Their nationalities were American, Australian, Canadian, Chinese, English, Filipina, French, Hong Kong, Indian, Irish, Italian, Lebanese, Malaysian, Nepalese, New Zealand, Scottish, Singaporean and Somali.
Listen to him discussing this with Radio 3’s Phil Whelan on the Morning Brew today (19/03/2018).
David will be signing books this Wednesday evening at Bookazine in Exchange Square. Please join us! See here for more details.
